Welcome to my wedding blog, Wedding Blog One Million and
One. I came up with that name while I was planning my own wedding. There are a
million wedding blogs out there and I remember just being overwhelmed by and so thankful for all of
the beautiful blogs and wishing I had something to contribute. I was a bride. I
was crafty. My wedding was going to be a DIY, low budget extravaganza, so there
had to be something I could give back…and so was born One Million and One.
I have a long list of topics to dish about, but if you have
something that you’re trying to get more info on and are having a hard time
with, let me know! I welcome suggestions and comments and whatnot. This blog is
supposed to be about what I can share with you to help in your adventure through the Wedding Universe, but that doesn’t mean I don’t
have something to learn from you.
Our story-
how WE met
While working and going to school in North Dakota, I met my future
husband’s brother and sister-in-law. We became fast friends. They saw
immediately that I would be perfect for my later-to-be hubby, who was living in
Colorado, working and supporting his three kids as a single father at the time.
Through them, I connected with Future Hubs over the phone and we also became fast
friends, who talked occasionally, for the two years I was living up north. When
circumstances changed for me, I was persuaded to move back to Colorado, where I’m
originally from, and where Hubs still was. One week after arriving in Colorado,
we met face to face and have been together ever since. One year exactly from
that day, we were married by a Justice of the Peace and our wedding was held on
our 5 year anniversary in Denver, CO where we currently live together with our
5 children. Yup. That’s right. FIVE children.
Onward and
Forward
It’s been great meeting you. I’m really looking forward to sharing
with you and getting to know you. If you’re a bride or groom or planner or attendant, it
doesn’t matter. There will be something here for everyone. Thanks for stopping
by and I hope to see you again!
